I haven’t experience Gingerbread yet but I must say the stock Froyo doesn’t support the single clear notification just by swiping it. Your only actions could be either to open a notification or clear them all up. For those Cyanogen ROM’s users, you can clear a single notification just by swiping it sideways to your right.
This comes handy by when you need something to get back to those of importance notifications and leave those unwanted ones.
